11th Anniversary "Ray Davis" Pass The Torch Camp
Austin children aged 6-12 are learning basketball skills and the value of good citizenry. The annual basketball camp, now called the "Ray Davis" Pass the Torch Camp, is being held this year at Givens Recreation Center. 2009 Details coming soon concerning dates and times. Boys and girls will have fun learning teamwork and basketball skills. It is co-sponsored by the AAAFFA, AFD Recruiting Section and the City of Austin Parks and Recreation Department's (PARD) Roving Leaders program. During the week, kids learn fundamentals of the game, learn about fire safety, and hear guest speakers. The camp participants can enroll free by contacting Merv or Kevin at Givens (928-1982). Lunch is provided free of charge all days.
